Ondina Sand Cleaner to an East Midlands University

Litter comes in all sorts of forms and in just about any environment you are likely to come across. This week we have supplied an Ondina pedestrian controlled sand cleaning machine to an East Midlands University sports department to help maintain their sand volleyball court. There isn’t a great deal of litter in this sand however wind blown leaves, litter and small stones can be a problem and in a worst case scenario broken glass can be buried under the surface which could have terrible consequences as the competitors dive around the court. Regular maintenance with the Ondina will minimize this potential threat.

The machine is powered by a Honda engine driving a sieve type system which shakes to allow the sand to fall back through the sieve and carry the litter onwards to the container at the back and a rubber finisher flap levels the surface and removes tyre tracks. With a fully galvanised chassis the Ondina is equally at home on small beaches as well as golf course bunkers and children’s sand play areas.
